Who is responsible for your information

Information we collect

We collect the account information you provide, such as your name, email address, sign-in details, and email preferences. We also store assessment answers and progress, completed profile results, assessment-access credits, purchase records, invitation records, and timestamps connected with those activities.

Stripe processes payment-card information. Marktype receives payment and transaction details needed to confirm a purchase, but does not store your full card number. Clerk supports account authentication and email verification.

How we use it

We use personal information to create and secure your account, save assessment progress, calculate and deliver your profile, confirm purchases, grant assessment access, provide customer support, prevent misuse, maintain the service, and send essential account or purchase messages.

If you choose to receive Marktype updates, we may also use your email address for those messages. You can change that preference in your account.

How information is shared

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Marktype—for example, Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payments, and hosting and email infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or use assessment answers for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep account, assessment, and profile information while your account is active so you can return to your result. We keep transaction and security records as reasonably needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal obligations. If you request deletion, we remove or de-identify eligible information and retain only what we must keep for those limited purposes.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also change optional email preferences in your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Security and age

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Marktype Release 1 is intended only for people age 18 or older in the United States.
